A studio for mobile engineering. Leadership for teams shipping at scale, and building products close to music, arts, and the communities around them.
Revaler Tech is a studio created by Dimitrios Georgakopoulos. Fifteen years in mobile engineering, seven leading teams and large scale projects, most recently at Docplanner, before that Sharecare and Zalando. Open to interim and fractional engineering leadership, to Staff and Principal level mobile platform work, and occasionally to building mobile apps end to end.
What I take on
Revaler Tech works with clients on mobile engineering leadership and platform work. Its own products are further down the page.
Advising
Work that draws on leadership and platform-level experience. Open to consulting and to permanent roles.
-
Technical leadership roles
Engineering manager, head of mobile, platform lead. Permanent or interim, with a focus on operational excellence, people-centred leadership, and pragmatic technical decisions.
-
Fractional & interim engineering leadership
For organisations between leaders, or scaling a mobile function without yet justifying a full-time hire. Part-time roles with clear deliverables and a clean handover.
-
Mobile platform strategy
DORA and engineering metrics, cycle-time reduction, CI/CD and release infrastructure, OTA, modularisation, design system enablement, and AI-tooling adoption, including spec-driven development.
-
Staff & principal-level mobile engineering
High-leverage work on mobile, architecture, and cross-team problems. Most useful where the codebase is real, the teams are many, and the constraints are interesting.
Notable work
A few things from the last decade that say more than a title would.
-
2024 - 2026
Founded and led Docplanner's mobile platform team. Turned one of its flagship apps, used by millions of monthly active users across thirteen countries, into a platform that frontend developers without mobile experience could contribute to. Led the modernisation of the tech stack, cleared long-standing technical debt, and took core mobile work off the product teams so their roadmaps could move faster.

Products in progress
Independent products published under Revaler Tech. They sit at the intersection of music, arts, and cultural life, alongside ethical tech and the practice of software itself.
-
Spokentia in development
A rehearsal app for spoken-word poets, slam performers, and live readers. Practice your delivery, pacing, and timing privately and offline, before you step on stage.
-
sf-sdd (System First Spec Driven Development) in development
A framework for treating product specs as a single, living, machine-readable model, keeping intent and implementation in sync, especially as AI takes on more of the writing.
-
Cultural Nodes early · working title
A digital commons for local culture. A way to map and connect the real-world creative communities that already exist in a place (venues, collectives, gatherings), built around participation and trust rather than attention.
Why "Revaler"
Revaler Straße is a street in Friedrichshain, Berlin, and home to the RAW-Gelände, a former rail-repair complex turned cultural compound of clubs, galleries, and street art. The name of the studio is a quiet thank-you to the place, where years were spent living beside both a vibrant tech world and an underground cultural scene.
Not far from Revaler Straße, on the East Side Gallery, a mural painted in 1990 by Kani Alavi and Muriel Raoux carries a line commonly cited as an African saying:
“Many small people who in many small places do many small things, can alter the face of the world.”
